I'm getting excited. Are you getting excited?
I'm experiencing a mix of anxiety and…well…more anxiety…sprinkled with a dash of terror. I love events like these, and I am looking forward to its success this year and those to come.
We are only a few days before the inaugural BC Gourmet Arts Festival. The gears are turning: events are soon to become locked. We have our food trucks, chili-cook-off teams, and vendors.
Here are the food trucks already committed.
The Open Door Café
White Goose Bistro
Veg Head Killer Food
Kusina Tasty Food
Piper'z Snack Shack
(with potentially more on the way)
For the contest, the bacon has been made with contestants already considering their dishes.
With the chili cookoff, we have nearly a dozen teams preparing for the day. As a reminder, all that is required is to purchase a bowl (about $25 each). I can mark my previous attendances with mine, and I'm looking forward to adding to that collection. For teams, a colorful collection has gathered to compete.
Community Arts Council of Prince George and District
PG Potters' Guild
PG Public Library
And not one but TWO teams from REMAX.
There is still room for maybe one or two more, but space is getting tight.
And don't forget about the Community Appreciation Barbeque on Friday 5-7pm. This is an evening event as the festival runs from 1-8pm and given this is Prince George, the sun will be shining for all of it.
The BC Gourmet Arts Festival is one of the first (after Northern FanCon) post-pandemic events in Prince George, and we are all itching to get out and enjoy our summer.
